  2. This was such a heartwarming movie that captures the nuance (if exaggerated…) of teenage life.
Though men, PLEASE, we need to stop this rhetoric of girls becoming “women” as soon as they get their period. 9 year old girls are not “becoming women.” This rhetoric is harmful to girls’ (children’s) identity and society’s expectations of them.

  3. Needed to come on here and comment. I did not see the movie but my daughters who by the way are under 15 brought up so many things that really hurt my heart about this movie. They saw a woman rabbi, they saw the LGBTQIA’s flag, they were telling me about a horrible song in the movie that speaks ill of God. My children literally rushed and told me this after the movie ended. I do not recommend this movie for fellow believers. Yet another movie attempting to make the lgbtq movement a norm in the lives of our children. Never have I read the book that this movie apparently came from but No it’s a NO for me. You cannot insult my Lord and savior!

  4. Not my cup of tea but going to watch it and love it with the fam because Adam Sandler always makes the best most heartfelt films! ❤ Really love how he puts his friends and family in his films!Nothing but respect for the guy!

  5. At first I thought it was kinda shallow but when they started getting into her emotions and everything I was surprised by how complexly gratifying this was! The acting in places felt a little off as well as some of the styles of filmmaking but overall worth watching!

  6. The movie was nice, except it ran too long, and had some really gross and mean parts among the young girls that made it unwatchable, far beyond what Adam Sandler's tackiest jokes, which are tolerable for his adult comedies made for adults. Maybe that was part of the original book, but I, as a parent, would have toned it down for those parts.
