3. This is one of the best movies on the origin of Vlad the Impaler. The only one I have seen is a Turkish movie, in English, that fully explains the origin of the legend of Vlad Drakula. The name escapes me. It was a most excellent movie. This I would rank second.

    Excellent entertainment when watched until the end. A bit, extremely slow in parts, I really appreciate 1:01:31 over the big rope behind the hang mans body —I won't spoil.
    The most evocative moment was the teardrop from Vlad 1:17:34

29. Once, I was a guest at an informal, backyard bbq of a Jr VP banker from the UK, who lived in Miami at the time. As a complete suprise, the guest of honor was Vlad's descendant King Michael and his wife Queen Anne. It turns out that my banker friend went to Oxford University with two of the Romanian Princesses. The couple was delightful and unpretentious. Queen Anne was absolutely hilarious. Thankfully, as an avid photographer, I was able to get a shot of them with our host. Certainly, that is one of my greatest memories. Thanks for sharing the film. I'll have to dig out those negatives one day.
