  3. Spirited was awful, and yet another Gary Stu played by Ryan. No matter what movie he's in, he's invincible, perfect and always right. It doesn't help when the Christmas ghosts are complete morons running what they do as a goofy business. Pure garbage. Watch Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol instead; a movie that remembers to be funny AND serious, with an actual masterpiece soundtrack.

  7. The trailer doesn't show that this is a stupid musical… It's not that bad of a movie, hollywood has definitely done much worse, but the trailer is a scam. There's more singing in this than any reasonable individual could reasonably tolerate. I never expected this to be an acceptable movie, but it actually is. If only there wasn't so much idiotic singing

It makes sense of Aimee Carrero to be in that movie as the titular characters that she voiced in Elena of Avalor and She-Ra 2018 series had dealt with unredeemable characters in Esteban and Catra, respectively. These two committed an unforgivable mistake in the third season, which made Elena and Adora disown them as they realized they're not worth redeeming. It doesn't help the fact that Esteban and Catra were known to blame others for their own actions and tend to run away when things don't go well for them. It took a heroic sacrifice for them to be finally forgiven as both princesses realized that they can be redeemed after all.

  15. i watched this movie. I thought the movie gonna end but they start singing, then again i thought this is gonna be it, the ending but they start singing again, wtf….

  28. Well after hearing Ryan Reynolds attempt at an English accent, I can honestly say we have found the new Dick van Dyke!
    Thing was it was ok and I didn't even cringe that yet another yank failed so badly at it. Reynolds is probably the only person that can pull it off without actually pulling it off!!!

    Reboot Poppins, Bedknobs and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang now, u got the lead Ryan! 🙌

  30. I feel like this is a platform for Ryan to outshowman Hugh Jackman.

    Maybe a few too many musical numbers but they did really try to make them entertaining and they obviously knew that musicals are usually boring so they tried to make this entertaining all the way through. To be fair being a musical took it up a notch in the spectacle factor which is obviously what they were going for.

    A bit weird having Ryan & Will's kind of crude humour in what is essentially a kids Xmas movie but you can't say it isn't different.

    Definitely a colorful spectacle with amazing sets and prod values. Ryan and Will put in a good effort but overall it does lack the emotion that past movies of this genre have had. Kinda hard when you're trying to crack a joke every second line I guess.

    Still recommend as a good, if not slightly crude, family xmas flick.
