Nothings better then the original
I like the original 1996 better
The issue with diversity hires is they make it so blatantly obvious when it’s a diversity hire and they’re literally just doing it to tick a box.. but the BLM brigade are too emotional to recognise it. Objectively, there’s no reason Ms Honey couldn’t be black but when it’s such a blatant pander, it loses credibility.

I just watched this movie with my mom yesterday, I wasn't sure if I would watch this movie but I decided to give it a shot. And it was great ! Emma Thompson did an incredible work that's the first thing I have to say, we have a living legend among us. Then, I was really scared about the whole musical thing with the songs and the tone of the movie, it was a bit hard at first and at some moments but actually it was fantastically well done and gave the movie such an unique dynamic and energy.
The cinematography was so impressive too. But there is something that needs to be understood well, because this is a musical (a true big musical), this will never be the same story telling as a real movie and for this aspect the first movie is definitely the one to watch for a true movie of the story. So many elements missing, happening extremely fast or changed in this new version. But it is worth watching! Several moments gave me pure chills. And my mom loved it.

Miss Trunchbull was my first grade teacher. She was working under an assumed name but I know it was her. Good to see she moved into an administrative position. Her talents were being wasted.
