  1. For me this movie not about the girl(Anna) who commited a fraud to become famouse. This movie about the reporter(Vivien), who abanded her newborn child for carrer and for becoming famouse. Anna – is just regular crime person who stole the money. Btw the actress who played the Anna's role was't choose right.

    In this movie Will Smith pretends to be high society.

  8. Story is definitly strong and well presented but the selection of the actress is poor

    She does not fit into the the same frame as the original Anna who was taller and stood out the actress is tiny short not glamorous at all in fact annoying in her portrayal of her speech and body language. Not impressive at all. The actress is busy struggling to be the character but she did not become the character

    I don’t understand why they tried to sympathize with a criminal the woman did not have good intentions she was self centered not a likable person socially she was manipulating people and enjoying her life

  12. I stopped watching after realizing the character of the journalist was almost as despicable as the Anna character. I just can’t get behind such a vapid character.

  15. What is up with this show? At first, I thought "oh this is interesting, good watch." and then you start seeing and hearing all these anti Trump add-ins. It completely turns me off from wanting to finish the show. There is no reason anything about him needs to be said. There isn't anything about her or what she did that has anything to do with Trump. Annoying.

  36. My two cents: Julia Garner is finally getting the roles and recognition she deserves.

    I think the way the reporters are portrayed almost comes off as kind of drama comedy approach -the feel is sometimes VERY different that in other scenes outside the Magazine.

    As a linguist, I cringe when I hear "Anna" talk. I think what bothers me the most is how it changes without rhyme or reason. One second you hear this bitchy New York socialite voice, and the next minute (especially when she's mad) I expect to hear her yell :" Marty!" as if she is still Ozark. As a poster below suggested, i will listen to some of the original Anna interviews and see what that is like. Whether or not she sounds like the person she is portraying, I would have laughed in her face if she tried pulling that accent around me. Finally, I believe that Anna was less skilled or crafty than other people. It is just that her marks were blatantly stupid and easily deceived. Rich people are often some of the 'best educated' but usually show enormous lack of knowledge and common sense. Their lifestyles are cushioned from being embarrassed by being stupid.

  42. Accents mix exist. When I speak English I have a mix of french accent english accent cameroonian accent and american accent.
    Y’all can’t expect this lady to only have a german accent since she also live in america and other countries…
