Québec?! Why?? Québec politicians are literally trying to get rid of English speakers in this province because they want to « protect » french at all costs. Bill 96, a law to dismantle all the instituions that impact and/or are run by English speakers is going to destroy the wonderfully bilingual Montréal community I grew up in. There is so much to say on this topic but, my god, Québec is not a place/culture to romanticize at the moment. I say this as someone who is perfectly bilingual, btw, as I grew up 50/50 in English and French. American tourists, PLEASE DO NOT give this province your money!!!!

The fact that they named the film "French girl" when there is no French people… But French Canadian people or Québécois(e.s)… I find it irrespectful for Québec. They have their own identity.
