Synopsis of the Movie: Fifty years after Tobe Hooper’s THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE shocked the world and forever changed the face of global cinema and popular culture, CHAIN REACTIONS charts the film’s profound impact and lasting influence on five great artists – Patton Oswalt, Takashi Miike, Alexandra Heller- Nicholas, Stephen King, and Karyn Kusama – through early memories, sensory experiences, and childhood trauma. By crafting a dynamic dialogue between contemporary footage and never-before-seen outtakes and delving into personal impressions triggered by distinct audiovisual formats (16mm, 35mm, VHS, digital), CHAIN REACTIONS goes to the heart of how a scruffy, no-budget independent film wormed its way into our collective nightmares and permanently altered the zeitgeist.
Cast: Featuring In-Depth Interviews with Patton Oswalt, Takashi Miike, Alexandra Heller- Nicholas, Stephen King, and Karyn Kusama
Director: Alexandre O. Philippe

Takashi mike, the man that you are
This was the only horror movie that made me cry at 8 years old. Now Bubba is on the wall to my living room and my house is dedicated to horror movies. Thank you Bubba!
This came out last year
For such an iconic movie you'd think they would have had better guests on to talk about the film
Stephen King is still a hack.
My wife has bought me an absolutely beautiful 4K Mediabook release from Germany. Four disks with what's possibly the most gorgeous modern day art work for it's cover.
We don't need a bunch of Hollywood elites telling us how great it is….WE the moviegoer knows how great it is. We need a behind the scenes doc with unseen footage.
Once again Patton Oswalt has to attach himself to something that everyone likes.
No blood
You can detect the stench through the TV. You can touch the devastating aroma.
Edit: 🤮
Could you imagine being knocked out coming to only to.see a giant man wearing someone's face like a mask?
How many docs can we do on Chainsaw? IDGAF ill watch it
Nooo anybody but Patton Oswald
TCSM has the greatest ending in all horror movie movie history.
Once i saw stephen king give his opinion i turned this off and thumbs it down
I never saw the big deal about this movie. By the time I saw it in the mid 80s it had been so overhyped I was like "meh".
When I saw Steven king is in the documentary I decided not watching this. Tis a shame
Patton Oswalt is scared of his own shadow. Imagine watching a horror movie with him jumping, wincing and holding himself the entire time.
Patton Oswalt ruins everything.
Was interested till the guy at the beginning started dripping estrogen
Oswalt is insufferable.
To this day it's still terrifying. The GOAT of horror movies
I can’t watch Stephen King knowing how left wing he is!
I was born in the 80’s and never once felt compelled to watch this movies.. nothing about these movies feels or looks scary at all.
Saw it stoned when it was released in UK cinemas in the 90's. Was a quiet journey home
You both should be locked up. You're both a couple nut jobs
Like the topic, don't like Spencer. Spencer, keep politics out ya mouth.
I was probably 15 when I watched it….that metal hook has stayed with me forever.
I'm so hyped for this
Patton Oswalt, pfft. I'll pass.
What a way to NOT get your documentary watched.
It's iconic
Saw it on video much like everyone else did. For me it was in the early 80s just like P. O. stated. The low budget feel and cinematography still stand out for me as one creepy combination.
It is in the permanent collection of MOMA in NY. We were driving around Austin to get BBQ. I was in the front seat talking to my friends sister (she was driving) we both agree that they probably shot some scenes out here
Stephen King is starting to look like my 77 year old Italian aunt
SO,, ITS A MOVIE ABOUT PEOPLE´S REACTIONS TO THE MOVIE??? ISN´T THAT WHAT YOUTUBE IS FOR??? MORONS!! YOU WILL CONSUME ANY PIECE OF CRAP THEY FEED YOU!!
ruined by franklin
Has it been 50 years ? Oh man 😂
Please dub the foreign words
Outside of Patton Oswalt, this looks like a great dive into the movie and how it has influenced society.
Oswalt comenting on this movie is like Taylor Swift commenting on Tool's discography.
I’ll never forget being 8 watching this. The scene with the almost dead grampa trying to hammer her head into the bucked. Absolutely fucked lol
Looking forward to seeing this 📼
