  1. DONโ€™T waste your time. It has NO ENDING. Fades to black. With a couple of exceptions the acting is subpar. And itโ€™s shot like a 1980โ€™s soap opera. BOOOOOO

  2. Watch this if you like movies with no hint at even a clue of an ending, literally a build up to nothing. Not even if it was a real ICBM in the sky or just a war game made to deceive us into believing there was an inbound missile.

  3. The biggest flaw in these films is the complete absence of any mention of South Korea, a country with a formidable military and air force. Is this intentional? To tell this kind of story, do you have to exclude South Korea's capabilities? I understand South Korea is quite capable of detecting these types of missile launch sites… I really wonder why South Korea is always left out of these films.

  4. A well-done movie. Great sets, acting, and story. However – this is a grim tale. The theme is: The System Will Not Save You. What the system gives you is the ability to make catastrophic decisions with incomplete information. The characters struggle with the crisis and not one of them can rise above the chaos. Probably what would happen during an actual nuclear war. I wish there had been at least one character who knew what to do – instead of all them being swept into oblivion by a system run amok.

  5. Heap Of Shite more like…..

    'A Cautionary Tale'…to whom?

A quick perusal of the state of the world and where its headed, I very much doubt a jaw-breaking yawn of a film will have much impact on megamanicical leaders with an itchy finger…

  6. What a waste of 1hr 55minutes watching the same scene over and over from a different characterโ€™s perspective and then no ending. Seriously?!

  7. Whats the problem?

The movie was great, it showed 3 different points in time leading up to the same event. STRATCOM, Greely, and the White House. I loved the gritty realism, and tense conversations. The ending is the ending. The Nuclear warhead detonated over Chicago and the President responded accordingly.

Read Annie Jacobsons "Nuclear War: A Scenario" if you want a more horrifying account.

  9. I was PISSED I wasted that hour and change waiting for an ending!!!
The movie should have been called the neverending story?!!
I will NEVER watch another movie by that producer AGAIN

  10. I sure as fu** hope we have strong ai assisted computer hardware working for us. Quantum level equipment would be even better. This whole movie shows Ai quietly fu**ing us over in the background. Communications are especially affected. It shows almost every phone call made or received by anyone who counts being heavily interfered with. Ai is obviously listening for the right people and screwing with their connections. The enemy Ai is obviously capable of using voice print analysis to detect who is on the phones and maybe even detecting what exactly is being said between parties. We also find out that the radar systems that can pinpoint where the launch originated were likewise heavily tampered with hiding hyper critical info that would direct our response to the attack. Our only option is doomsday scenario reaction hitting EVERY possible suspect. The enemy counting on a delayed reaction on our part for moralistic/ethical reasons giving the enemy a chance to examine how we decided to respond. All this info useless to unassisted analysis but invaluable to Ai analysis. Then we watch as our anti ballistic missile tech is subtlety taken control of and enemy Ai "makes course adjustments" that shouldn't have been needed except to make sure of a clean miss by these defensive weapons on our part.
I'll say it again, we best not be caught with our pants down and a firm grip on our tiny peckers when it comes to Ai. I can assure you, China is taking Ai extremely seriously and has already implemented it across every need military wide. This movie shows you how the enemy who implements Ai in a dead serious manner will win a war hands down.

  11. I enjoyed the movie but couldn't help thinking that Chicago was bombed into oblivion because of all the DEI diversity hire soldiers, experts, and administrators they filled Washington DC and the military with.
