Absolute disgraceful program blaming white people for a fire that started in a council house with 700 black people partying drinking and taking drugs. Yes 700.The fire was believed to have been started by the party goers themselves. The black communities still to this day try to blame White people. Riotous behaviour and looting followed during a so called black day of action. All this because black people caused the tragic deaths of some of their own community and were hell bent on blaming whites. I ask myself. Who are the real racists in this country?

My comments got deleted, so let me state this plainly. This documentary is profiting off of deciet and falsehoods. The fire was started by accident at a party from black teens trying to clean a spill using nail varnish which was then ignited by a cigarette.
After that, protestors organised a protest on a Monday rather than at a weekend knowing it was cause maximum disruption and lead to a conflict. The protestors on the day also beat bystanders and robbed jewellery store. So can we stop with the whole innocent protestors being "oppressed" BS because it just isn't true.
Hell of a lot of lies in this.

More disgraceful race-baiting from the BBC Communist propaganda machine. It is a VERY well known and BASIC fact, to anyone who knows anything about this event, that the fire was the result of carelessness/recklessness of the party-goers themselves, yet this 'documentary' goes with the narrative of 'white supremacy' is to blame. This constant barrage of the demonisation of Europeans in their native lands has all become very tedious. Shameful that rubbish like this is aired on telly, when the BBC know that it's a completely false portrayal of events, and specifically designed to enflame racial tensions.
This program was made by a coloured bloke who wants to stoke Racial Hatred!!

There were 2 separate investigations and the fire was actually started when someone tried to remove nail polish from a carpet with paint thinner that then caught light. This documentary couldn't have been further from the truth but it seems the BBC are desperate to stoke division wherever they can
At the same time the british government were arming and transporting british terrorist groups and british armed forces into irish communities all over northern ireland to murder hundreds of innocent people in cold blood with impunity. Pure evil

I found this incredibly hard to watch – I remember the fire like is was yesterday, I remember going on the march, and sheer indifference of the generally population to the fire. I’m not shamed to admit I cried last night watching this.
And there’s never been any proof that the new cross fire that it was started by arson or racists and this show is lying
I don’t remember any of this. I was raised in the sixties and seventies in the Midlands. My best friend in junior school was black, we won every three legged race at school and went carol singing together, scrumping together. She was welcomed into my house and I into hers for tea. My group of friends in senior school were a mixture of white, black and Asian. We all hung out together. College was the same. I never once saw any racism of any kind. I know it happened but I would like to think it was rare and only in certain areas. This was my experience.

I admire people who are black for their tenacity, strength and honour. What they have gone through and still go through everyday and still come out fighting holding their heads up high is something I hope everyone of us living a privileged life because we were “lucky” enough to be born with a diff skin colour which meant we don’t have to look over our shoulders ever five mins, don’t panic thinking we are going to die every time a cop stops us and finding jobs easier or not followed around stores., start appreciating things what our friends with different skin colour have gone through because of white people. I hope they also take the time to learn black history and do more to be anti racist and to stop racism once and for all because we are one race
, the human race,vand are all connected to each other.
