  3. This should be good. Most important always is director. Here it is Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I am Legend, Hunger Games sequels). In case with the The Running Man, which is expected in November, it is Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver etc.). And when they (Hollywood I mean) start taking King more seriously, the result is always much better.

  16. So there are 50 young men in this game of which there is no hope for 99% of the participants. All 50 young men are being monitored by 4 to 6 men of which one is a lead dawning rifles and a hand gun. There are 2 men manning two M60's and 4 drivers operating a jeep, what looks to be a mostly empty troop carrier and two Ferret's. 30 of them looks to be very close to the two Ferret's. It would take but 6 to 10 of the young men early in the walk to create a distraction and the others to take control of the soldiers, their weapons as well as the equipment. What a dumb idea for a movie!

  25. The first book of Stephen King that I read, about 14 years old, my uncle gave me his paperback. I will never forget the perspective this story gave me, especially the ending. 🤫

  30. I've been waiting for this movie for over a decade. I remember reading the book in college and when I tried to look up if there was a movie I read an article about how the movie rights belonged to some company that wanted to make it but didn't have the means to do so. They wanted a director who'd make it into a compelling abstract sort of artsy project.

    So seeing this now directed by the same people who did Hunger Games, which were decent enough death game movies, I'm quite excited for it. I love this story and I'm ready to see this movie.

  32. I remember in the book, it’s mentioned in a previous year the final two contestants… one was walking and one was crawling and they had walked several states by that point. I am so excited for this film.
