  1. Bill Skarsgård = I like.

So, I was expecting a lot with this movie & in the end, was disappointed a bit.

If I wanted to watch a love story I would have watched Titanic, The Notebook, or something like that.

It takes about 35 minutes to have something going on besides that love thing.

Then, the movie is a bit all over the place. The fight scenes are not that great too.

Anyway. You liked it? Good for you, I won't debate your taste in movies.

Not sure if it deserves a thumbs down or not from me.

  2. Im going to see it in theaters, and i can't wait! As a fan and someone who even owns the James O'Barr special edition of the Crow…. im giving it a chance. Its a different adaptation to the graphic novels… if it sucks it will be my loss. I have faith in Bill ❤

  3. The Crow is my favorite movie. Just saw the 30th Anniversary w my wife and it was amazing. Skårsgaard is awesome. His performance shouldn’t be a problem. It’s that this just should not have been made. I expect some cool things, but overall probably will be disappointed. He’s in a damn tough position. Plus, recently he has stated some issues w the ending that we’ll have to see.

Still going to watch it. Been disappointed or pissed several times. What’s one more, right, people? 🐦‍⬛🙏🏽

  4. Nothing will come close to the original but im willing to give this a chance.bill is a good actor and rupert sanders always makes visually beautiful films.

  5. I think alot of people need to get over the first one and themselves.
We could sit here and go over countless remakes 9f movies people died in but this one… this 9ne is untouchable???? GTFO, grow tf up, and watch it like an adult and then come on here and give your opinion. I seen the first when it came out. Loved it. Now I can't wait for this one😊

  6. Not sure if I see Bill Skarsgard as the Crow and I'm not sure how much of a good idea it is to launch a Crow reboot (or another movie). Anyways, it could promise and accomplish. I don't like the girl, sorry

  7. I've been a massive fan of the Crow since before the first movie came out. Brandon can never be topped or replaced, ever. This movie should have not named the characters Eric and Shelly, and just made this a unconnected story with different people
. With that said, I can't wait to see it. It looks more in the spirit of the comics, than anything else has since the original. The sheer amount of hate and media driven hit pieces against this movie, it's honestly shocking. We've basically allowed our perceptions to be dictated, before even giving this a chance. I find it extremely disturbing that Proyas and cast members from the original, shit all over another filmmaker, to such a shocking degree, when this version isn't stepping on the original creative vision, in any way. This version wisely and respectfully went a completely different direction, instead of trying to just remake the original. This is the same mentality of calling someone a whore, because they moved on from you, after a breakup. Then going out to anyone that'll listen and bad mouthing your ex. Everyone jumping on that bandwagon, is actively engaging in enabling these troubling behaviors of entertainment media, in attempting to program us into only liking what they tell us to like. Seeing the campaign waged against this movie, is an exercise in possessive, jealous, absurdity. Judge it based on it's own merits, as it's own story, and it's own thing.
I for one, am completely thrilled that there's the chance for the Crow to fly again, and find a new audience. After how horribly the sequels were approached and turned out to be, the Crow franchise deserves a second chance to become something way more. City of Angels was hijacked by studio interference, recutting the movie to match the first, and effectively caused great harm to the director's vision. I had potential but ultimately was a failure. The resulting sequels were low budget atrocities, saddled with moronic writing and even worse acting. I still don't understand how wicked prayer was ever greenlit and survived past screening. It showed just how little the mythos and tone wasn't respected nor understood. At least with this movie, I see the spirit and tone of the source material. I honestly see the comic Eric Draven when I see Bill Skarsgard, regardless of the hair and tattoos.
I honestly and truly hope this subverts expectations and is given enough chance to hopefully reinvigorate interest and hunger for more Crow related projects. There's so much that could be done in this universe, with these mythos of the spirits of vengeance, giving victims another chance to right horrific wrongs. Dark avatars either leading a tortured soul to redemption or further damnation, what could be done, with the right writers and talent, is tantalizing.

  8. I remember everyone was saying very similar negative things about Robert Pattinson playing Batman and how that movie was going to turn out.

  9. People need to calm down. I loved the brandon lee film. But you can watch and enjoy this too. Its like all the batman actors and movies over the years. Each variation has earned a spot.
