Robert Blair- Mayne was from Newtownards in N.I. ( Ulster). He was well educated and an athlete and a champion boxer. He never used profane language. He was an outstanding soldier and great leader of men, led by example and was fearless in the face of the enemy!
They'd be absolutely outraged if they got captured and their captors followed the same rules. "Wot about the Geneva Convention, eh?" Soldiers, all soldiers, need to know that the rules may be an inconvenient annoyance but those same rules protect them too. Instead we get "ignore the rules" presented as a good thing. Thanks for nothing, BBC – who by the way would lead the charge against anyone violating the rules regarding race, religion, gender, and yes, the Geneva Convention.
My uncle was in 2 para followed by the SAS. He never once mentioned the SAS ever. Every story was through the lense of being a Para. We only found out he was SAS at his funeral when the SAS association members came sporting the berets and placards. They confirmed that he wasn't a Para at Aden and Suez crisis, he was already a badged member working with the Paras. He didn't even tell his own children or his sister (my mother) ….
What a stupid, historically innacurate show
YES, SIR…❤😊❤
The hard man from newtownards
My new motto…..paddy's version
It doesn’t matter who you are if you never heard of the SAS before you’ve definitely heard of Mike Sadler
What a show. What legacy.

BBC will cancel it in few weeks just watch.Sad af
I like this series. But too bad they didn't fimnd a phyically better fit for Paddy. THe accucal guy was 6'4'' 48 inch chest with a 34 inch waist.
I can handle most English accents, but Irish and Australian really bugs me. 😅
Basically the translation from queens English to North Irish English 😂
Jack … what’s he playing an Irish man for !! I hate to say it but his Derbyshire comes through more than Belfast 😮😮😮
He’s not on the boil
Not an accurate portrayal of the real Paddy Maine apparently. Amongst many differences he didn't swear.
Which movie is this?
So this was their moto before Del Boy?
"those of you that can read…" LMAO

I take it this paddy is a unionist😂
That is bad ass 😅
Should've been "baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo!"
Sounds like the Royal Navy to me, I know I served 24 years 🫡🇬🇧🤪🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Great series, especially the anachronistic music.
🤘
Who Dares Wins. My old LRS unit used to go train with 23 SAS and go to the Cambrian Patrol. British Lion is our insigna. ' Around the World Unseen
Worst music score l can possibly think of.
Paddy is legendary within spec ops everywhere! God Bless us Irish! ☘️
Paxddy Mayne buried in Movilla <sic> Newtownards…..NI
I always thougbt it would be good to see Jack O'Connell in a war setting.
In fact, the real life Paddy Mayne loathed the use of foul language. But otherwise, I’d say this portrayal was one of the best.
The actor who played Paddy was brilliant, well actually, they all were. Best thi g the BBC have done in years.
Those men back in ww2…. genuine men
Release season two!!!!!!
Best motto is the Wild Weasel's.
YGBSM
You Gotta Be Shitting Me
My grandma would say the same before our weekly game of snakes and ladders.
Epic ❤
Los piratones malotes😂😂😂 🐖
Special Air Service! Best in the world!
Although, my guess is the USA/China would disagree with that!
BBC show…..SAS Rogue Heroes
They get mankind into mentality of always fighting when the two sides are manipulated behind the scenes are one
To be fair, this would be a great Motto. Not official of course, Officers/Politicians has mostly to much of a Stick in thier Ass but inofficial… yeah.

I don’t know why BBC only made this a six part series. They should have made it a 24 episode season, like they used to make shows in the old days 😅
"It's not a War-crime the first time…"
Oh is so good target question ❤ i like it ❤ all is honor to be here ❤
Bring the second season plz.. Soon
Our Paddy llf 😂
Paddy Maine, the man's a bloody legend!
Saw a clip of Queen Elizabeth 2 giving a medal to a soldier. She was looking at him with awe.
My guy.
The sound track of AC DC is very fitting and one springs to mind, especially for the long range desert group – “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”. 😎
