22. watched it today what made the 74 film iconic was the lack of special effects and the realism. as apposed to ie when the black girl gets sawed in half on the bus just makes the movie more comical.

    Except…it's tied to past movies because an old character comes back so in the universe of the movie this town is already known as the place Leatherface lived/killed. So…why would he still just be chilling there?

People complaining about Leatherface copying Halloween even tho the Halloween franchise basically came from Texas chainsaw massacre and Halloween copied Leatherface with a remake and Halloween 2018 copied Texas chainsaw 3ds plot so Halloween is a bigger copy cat and now Michael is being Jason all Leatherface copied was revenge of a final girl

38. Some of you need to stop pretending your Roger Ebert the movie critic. Also stop watching sequels and remakes expecting them to be instant classics. Actually even the original in 1974 didn't become a cult classic until the 90s. It actually got slaughtered by the critics in the 70s as nothing but a disgusting video nasty… Classics don't emerge until decades later.

    Anyway… This movie doesn't ever even try to be a classic. It knows what it is which is a stupid slasher and rolls with it. Is it a good film? No! Is it fun? Yes… And that's all its tries to be. The kids are annoying on purpose and leatherface is out classic villain back again to mow them down one by one. This is obvious from the off, none of them get any back story bar the quiet girl with the ptsd. Just chill and munch some popcorn. If you're expecting anyone to create an instant classic out of an already established classic you're gonna have a bad time. The only way a classic will beade today is by creating something original. Even then it'll take time to become a classic… The conjuring possibly fits that bill but even then its a ghost/demon story which got done already by the exorcist!

41. The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a Gen Z blood bath, mostly because they don't grab any guns when they're right there or when they finally do they don't know how to use them. Then a Boomer comes in to save the day and does everything wrong….I never laughed so hard & so much at a serious horror movie. It's worth watching though, a good sequel that wraps the story up with the Hardesty girl (who gets away in the original) as the boomer & Tobe Hooper included Director of the original.
