I genuinely can’t believe there is a 3 already this movie came out when I was 13, I discovered it by accident flipping through channels and caught it in the beginning of Bodi’s rock trance with the radio when it caught my attention. And I’ve watch the first movie 12 times and 2nd movie 4 times.

20. The music is Industrial scrap. Because of Rock'n'Roll. They just invent nonsense. Cultureless shit. This has nothing to do with Rock'n'Roll. I am a musician. That kind of style has gone horribly wrong. The Filmmakers have no understanding of music. Again just clowning. I'm fed up with Rock Dog.

I have mixed feelings about Rock Dog 3; while I adore this franchise because of the heartwarming masterwork behind the voice acting, story and animation behind the first movie, I also can already sense that this one will most likely be one of those sequels that are only there to let the corporations squeeze the franchise dry and destroy it.

35. Hopefully this one is better than the sequel, the sequel was just not good in my opinion. As most direct to DVD sequels usually aren’t. I am glad to see that Angus is back and that they even managed to get Eddie Izard back as him. And there are call backs to the first film it seems. Still though, I just wish they could right some of the characters. Like for example, I read somewhere that Linux would be coming back in this film as the villain? Why? Why did he even come back in the first place? He was defeated in the first film and there’s no reason to have him as the antagonist again. Also, why were Riff and Skozz working for him again? At the end of the first film, it was clear that they had dropped their prejudices and became good. I guess that’s forgotten. And then Bodi was totally not in character at all in the second film, it may as well have been a different character altogether. Bodi is acting like a typical teenager in the second film, when in the first film, he very clearly wasn’t a typical teen. Same goes for Bodi’s dad, which was even more jarring. Since when does Bodi’s father enjoy music so much and encourage Bodi about it and give him advice on it? Like yeah, I get that at the end of the original film, Bodi’s dad made peace with Bodi’s decision and career choice. But I don’t think that would mean his entire character and demeanor changes overnight. Honestly I would just do away with Linnux altogether and focus on something else. Oh, another thing, since when would they have TVs out where Bodi lives? I got the impression that the area they were at was basically cut off from a lot of modern things which includes electronics. Which is why Bodi was so confused about that radio that dropped from that plane in the first movie.

    I don’t know, it’s just I really did like the original movie. It wasn’t perfect by any means, but I still do love it. And it’s just a shame that the initial sequel to it was not very good, and also that it just straight up retcons and changes certain characters and drops some continuity from the first film.
