  1. I'm excited as i think the second book although more boring turns good guy to bad guy. The headset if you look at it the right way. Was a hidden resource project that was being worked on before Halliday died right? At the end of the movie he even asked if Halliday in the oasis was an AI and he said no he wasn't. the problem with the headset, neuralink is that you could only use it for a specific amount of time. Otherwise it could mess your brain up. I think it was used to upload the actual Halliday and his consciousness. Meaning that he is now still alive but only in a digital world. the overall story would be against uploading yourself to the Oasis being pushed by parzival since he is hooked on it. So, if it follows the book parzival would end up the bad guy.

  3. Yes there definitely needs to be more Ready Players, They should also visit the revelation that Halliday was NOT an avatar. It would be great for Parzival and Og as the Curator to have a sit-down with him. I will be dissapointed if they dont do that.

  6. I'm so excited for the possibility for a Ready Player Two. There's more to tell. I just saw Tye Sheridan at a software conference showcasing a new software developent software company he's a principal of. So, we may not see him again, which would be too bad. When he came into the conference session to talk about his software, I looked up and said, "wait what, is that….Parzival" to the guy next to me and he did a partial and quiet fanboy freakout…lol…

  7. I'm reading the book now. And I'll be honest. I don't think they should jump to making this movie based on the book. It's been proven that a lot of people don't want certain elements in entertainment depending on how u feel about them. This has been the MCU's problem and I would predict similar would happen here

  10. AI antagonist sounds interesting but I feel like if the book is bad, then the movie would be worse. Looking forward to it but hope that they don't blunder it.

  13. I think if they would have followed the books more they could have made the movie a double feature. The first book was so good. I also really like the second book. Both are read on audible by Wil Wheaton who brings the stories to life. Just really enjoyable.

  15. I just finished the book RP2 and boy will they have to pare it down significantly for a movie. The author goes on and on with 80s themes. It was cute in RP1 but you get lost in the weeds in RP2. Honestly, I graduated from high school in the 80s so I appreciate the nostalgia, but wow, I think the author just wanted to throw all his research at us. It’s possible he was a super nerd in the 80s himself but dang. I love the Lord of the Rings as much as the next guy but he goes in obsurd depth of Silmarillion, Tolkien’s other writings. Spoiler alert, an AI take over has been done a lot in other films. Maybe this would be different. There is after all another hunt.

  18. Off a suggestion from a friend I read ready player 1 book and was blown away by the attention to detail and improvement over the movie, it was like watching a new movie. Dont get me wrong, the movie was like an 8 but the book was like a 9. I immediately read ready player 2 and was not disappointed. I’m so psyched for the movie. It cannot come fast enough. *spoilers* I wanna see the two leads battle it out as Omnipotent beings in the Oasis just like a Dragon Ball Z battle.

Fun adventure film that may or may not make it out is ok, the ending of the first one covers that who runs the game but perhaps when being incharge of the game and having plenty of recorce to explore life outside of the game then the owner starts to shift his intrests to getting users to stop using the game and enjoy more of what God has to offer through life.

  22. Man y'all gotta start appreciating life a little more everyone is always so negative and hard to please. I love both novels and the movie, listened to them both several times. Its aggravating to see wade go the direction he does but thats all intentional by Ernest, he is making you feel something even if its not what you WANT to feel it still works. I will have no expectations when it comes to the movie and i will accept it for what it is, you guys have already decided you dont like it and it hasn't even dropped yet smh try being happy for once 😊

    Like wreck-it Ralph. All the villains sitting in group counseling session type team up mixed with "Tron" Master Control Program a rogue AI that turns all characters villains into the actual selves similar to "Cabin In The Woods" pop culture monsters. Which ends up locking any "user" mind into the system [thus removing the helmet isn't enough]. The "hero." Must ban together to survive.

    Or

    Mega hacker insert major chaos to the "oasis." Exploiting many which the original cast must track down and exact Karma back.
