  1. LOL So bc they needed to save money (or imagination) they moved all the story to above the water?
Looks sooooo bland. And the trailer again sounds exactly like EVERY other trailer out there …

  2. Fun Fact: In The Mysterious Islands a sequel to Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea it was mentioned that Captain Nemo real name was Dakkar and he was a Hindu Prince

  3. captain Nemo is an Indian prince and as well as an inventor and the masterpiece ,20000 leagues under the sea ,the complete story cant be made and kept with
in a movie ,a series is necessary for that and that must be original like the book ,no exaggaration

  5. This looks so far from the kirk douglas version……what happened to Nemo and his crew building their own ship, staying underwater, and celebrating the peace they found there?

  6. depthcharges in steampunk, the point of it was that Nemo built nautilus and EIC was powerless against a submarine just ramming their wooden ships and cutting them down. heck Nautilus was built for cutting Ice not ships it was just usefull feature.
Still. It looks good enough to be watched. Also Nemo is canonically indian. If they made him black I would protest but I love that he is actually Indian.

  7. What kind of nonsense is this? this shit has nothing to do with the classic Jules Verne. some lady in a ball gown, some dragons. Nemo actually fought with England in his spare time from exploring the ocean. if you are going to rethink the classics, then at least do it with respect.

  8. Ok…Ok I was not expecting to suddenly be so excited for this. Pirates of the Caribbean with a steampunk submarine. The technological aesthetic is enough to get me hooked. Ok just seen the first episode go watch it if it continues this strong I think this could be a solid show!
