Just finished watching Prodigal Son. Fell in lust/love with Michael Sheenβs character. I knew he was in Twilight but I did not know he was in Underworld. I was in love with him in Underworld too! This man has a lot of charisma, personality, and sex appeal. Wonderful actor! β€
I thought it was a car. No idea. 30 yr old USA girl here
Born and raised in California. Was very confused at y'all saying it's a blow… anyways. I mean, it's a very, very large vehicle in the states by GMC. So, guess that's a "new" bit of slang I learned because, honestly, having never heard it before, it's gotta be older than me… and I'm 41. Where are these writers coming up with this stuff.
christ, whoever does the leg oiling on this show deserves a raise
I have never heard any American use 'hummer' to mean a blow job
celebrities are such real people. BS self promotion machines.
American here, absolutely have never heard hummer meaning anything other than the car
He looks like a photo negative π
What's with his hair?
A hummer as his name should imply Is a blow job where the woman hums to give an extra sensation
Ok as a German I seriously thought this was about lobster…
Language is weird.
First time Iβve ever heard the word where it isnβt just another way of saying Humvee.
I suspect the term is generational (out of date) and local dialectic (probably to Southern California).
Brit here, never heard of the word hummer to be anything but the vehicle or a very bad (but impressive) fart/poo.
Oh my god its so disconcerting to see Michael with that hair talking in his natural accent
lol I remember hearing that slang on KROQ around mid/late-90s as a way for the DJs (and Loveline) to get around the censor. Back then the auto vehicle was mostly for military.
Michael Sheen is a consummate actor and a thoroughly nice guy and I applaud his activism re: his cherished roots. Wales and no I am not his mother. thx Michael!
And when I moved to Britain it was shocking when someone casually asked me for a rubber. It's an eraser.
As a swede my first thought was of shellfish….. kinda forgot my languages for a second. Didn't even occur to me that it might be sexual.
Yeah, thatβs pretty well known in America π
Judging by comments below, maybe people younger than millennials donβt get it because itβs not a very common term anymore. But anyone born in the 80s and before is well aware of what it means π
The only time I ever heard that word in a sexual context, was in an episode of the TV show Alien Nation. And it referred to the aliens getting their partners ready for Adult Fun Time by making a certain sound.
0:58 "nasty,Dirty, Perverted, Evil"
Michael with white hair:
Me: "not the soft angel how dare you :("
Wow, a long story for such a weak ending….
I'm American and I didn't know a hummer meant sonething other than a car
I always forgot peter dinklage is america, not Brit.
It could also refer to a hummingbird. Need to find the rest of this episode just for Joe Lycett piping up, lol.
I have NEVER heard of a hummer
michaeeeelllllll
All of these Americans saying they only thought it was a suv are PRUDES. Ive always known a hummer was slang for a bj, and am in my 40s.
What? I didn't know
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
