  1. Something tells me that Carl was not acting in this movie. Something tells me that what we all just watched was Carl Barron not Manny lewis! . Funny, witty, charming, scared, scorned, romantic, bogan, talented, But above all, a kind gentle man with a massive heart!!!! And a true AUSSIE!. I don't know you from a bar of soap, but something tells me….I do now!!! BRILLIANT! ❤

  2. Your an amazing man . I never knew my dad. I introduced my mum to a guy I thought could be a dad. Then I was homeless at 15. Your story touches me in ways you'll never know. Laughing at yourself with others Laughing with will always make u feel good. Your amazing and I reckon Ur awesome. Thanks for everything. Love from Australia ❤

  3. i really want to like this movie but there are so many issues. why didn't he just tell the cops about the dog? he's a famous comedian, people get put away for animal abuse all the time. are we as an audience supposed to forget about the dog? and then it becomes a plot point where he gets in trouble for it, and never once tried to explain himself? whoever wrote this movie is out of touch with modern life. people who go viral for stuff like that are always hailed as heroes…

  4. oh shame did his father beat him? poor baby, it must have been hard growing up with a strong male figure earning a man's income in the house 😂

that's the kind of problem I wish I had. at least he was humiliated by someone with the same blood as him

  5. I usually enjoy the Mechanics of story, but the mechanical parts of this story are the worst parts. the whole fantasy chat thing feels very forced, and it kinda ruins a pretty interesting movie

  6. "she's beautiful, she doesn't know it and that's what I like about her"
    worst line in the movie.
it's such a tired cliche that even teenagers know is wrong. you're attracted to low self esteem? what if she suddenly realizes she's beautiful? Justin Bieber has a song by that title, from when he was a child.
not only is it a messed up cliche, it's not possible in today's world. every single girl knows she's beautiful because every single girl has 1000+ matches on tinder

  7. what is with all the Czech references? Thomas is not particularly a Czech name, and then later in the script he refers to Czech-Slovakia, which hasn't existed since I was born. he also says " they're a bit depressed there"… Czech is literally where Lego comes from, as well as all of the best video games.

they love beer and to say hello you say "dobry den"… how can one be depressed when you say "dobry den" every day?

  8. I just watched You can't stop the murders again. Anthony Mir should be a household name.

this film is not as good as YCSTM, but I identify quite closely with the main character. YCSTM moves so fast, it's such a rich story, every second of the film has something interesting in it.

this is more of a film for couples. I worked as a comedian for a while and I know that if you are successful you're probably a terrible human being, and it's difficult for me to not see the main character like that. I used to really like comedians before I worked with them. maybe things are different in Australia

also I grew up without a father, so it's impossible for me to relate to someone who doesn't get on with their dad. to me, his dad is awesome. I wish I had a dad like that

  9. Carl….That was a HOT HOT movie !(not just HOT)…seeing your shows over the years, I come across this movie and for a boy from Longreach, this was a real emotional movie you put together and great to watch. Well done Carl

  10. Love your work Carl, Looking for Love – CARL I'M RIGHT HERE, I LIVE IN TASSIE BUT DON'T HAVE TWO HEADS, WASN'T BORN HERE ARE YOU EVER COMING TO HOBART TAS? I CAN BE YOUR NO 1. STALKER JK about the stalking thingyimijig

  11. Such a great movie. I grew up around Wyandra near Charleville. Love this guy's humour and such a great ending makes the romantic in me feel all gooey chewy. My high school first love Tom Begg came from Longreach. They had the newagency there. So…..such a good movie. Go Carl. Hope he is happy with kids on the way…

  12. i laughed i cried i really loved your story and you are real thats the greatest gift and so funny. you stirred up so many real emotions, thanks. i pray you have the happiest life. God bless you.
