What could have been an exciting storyline is utterly ruined by poor direction and lackluster cinematography. The narrative flow is disjointed, and its fantasy elements are so poorly executed that they might only resonate with the director’s muddled vision.
Right from the start, we’re introduced to characters who resemble chain-smoking junkies, seemingly incapable of functioning without a cigarette in hand. This is compounded by the female lead’s dreadful performance, failing to deliver any authentic emotion in the face of her character’s challenges.
Do yourself a favor and skip this one—it’s a frustrating waste of time. The previous Hellboy installment was far more enjoyable, while this lackluster attempt feels more like Jeezboy.

Why does Hollywood continue to ruin my childhood making knockoff movies of one of my favourite superhero’s. It still bothers me we got these 2 movies in 2019 and 2024 when we could’ve gotten Hellboy three. In which Ron said it would’ve “blown the top of people’s heads off.”
I like how all Hellboy films give him a gruff and deep voice, but I always thought of him to have a Brooklyn accent. This looks nice though

The first two movies were my favorite. I enjoyed the third movie. But I just couldn't get into The Crooked Man. I think I expected it to be more like the other movies.
