Church Of Darkness – David, a teen boy, moves to a new town and discovers a sinister underground society flourishing under the protection of the mayor.   10. Effective production, performances and pacing. Overall fair with a heavy religious premise, worth viewing for some, depending upon individual taste and religious orientation.

Did these people know they were in one of the funniest serious "horror" movies ever?Did they understand how bad this mess was going to be?My god man,it was like an afterschool special with no script–there was no plot,no background atmosphere,and the overdubs of everybody`s voices made it sound as if they were all talking in a studio……And the little "jam session" was hilarious–I couldn`t stop laughing,especially when you see the guitar`s not plugged in and the "drummer",of course,another 30something 18 yr. old……However,I did notice one cool shot,one bright,shining glimmer of gold,in this disaster of a film,and that was around the 34 minute mark,when,in the background,I spied the Ace Frehley,"Frehley`s Comet-Live + 1" album on a shelf,alongside a bunch of "has-beens" and "never-wases"…..that`s about the best part of this odyssey of stupid………and,oh yeah,how could I forget the climax of it all,the inevitable end-of-the-movie confrontation between good and evil,the fight to end all fights–I wish I could say I took it in stride,but I can`t–I almost had tears rolling out of my eyes,accompanied by loud laughter and doubled over,trying to contain myself,and almost setting off a fairly good-sized ripper,as my uncontrollability was moving into another level of humorous reaction…………..What a pile of excrement…Every single person involved in front of the camera,should NEVER be in front of the camera EVER again;they ALL were terrible………………..N E X T ! ! ! P.S.,Were those Monty Python wanna-bes in robes saying "HAIL OOF"?Again,doubled over,every time "HAIL OOF" was uttered by these idiots…………..HAIL OOF(shaking my head)………………

  17. Hail! Ho! Satan's helpers are my people in this film, they were so convincing with the way they worshiped their god? 5/5 I'll recommend this to everyone I don't know! Movie Central thanks again for another banger!
