  1. Marvel is the most exciting thing I have experienced for years thanks to the man Stan Lee thank you Stan you have shown me your world and I couldn’t be happier as for relating to a character it would have to be Bruce banner cause like him I have always been afraid at things but like his alter ego I do get mad a lot

  2. God bless Stan Lee and the universe he shared with all of us I remember I was 6 when I got my first comic it was an Incredible Hulk comic and I just kept my passion grow after that thank you Stan

  3. This is so fake.

Marvel was born in 1961… to try to be contemporary with DC Comics, it invented this Timelife gimmick.

Here are two proofs that Marvel is not 85 years old:

    1. it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1986.

    2. Stan Lee himself says that Marvel began with the Fantastic Four.

  4. I mean, you know, the original comic came out in 1937 and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on superhero story with a white straight guy who literally stalks me showing every night. Weird! Weird! Weird!

  5. Comic book are modern mythology. Those that get angry at how stories are retold and changed over different generations should remember that even the ancient myths have been retold and adapted for each generation so that they stay relevant and fresh. The "fans" that say that Marvel or DC should remain stuck in the past and "stay true" to the stories they told in the 30s, 40's, 60's or even the 80's and 90's are missing the point of what those stories are. They are the myths and inspiration for the young at heart, but also the fount of youth for those of us that are old but still yearn to fly or swing though life. Grow with the stories and keep them fresh for each generation, draw what you can from them to help you through from day to day. Because that's why Stan, Steve, Jack, Joel and Jerry and so many more created them….DC or Marvel…we still stand by the creed of "Excelsior", Ever upward!

  6. Im 23 turning 24 i grew up with the marvel movies thanks to my older brother readin comics, Rip all the comic writers there the real heros behind it all!!! And as stan lee would say excelsior!

  7. Whenever you feel about the MCU nowadays (with exceptions like Spider-Man 3, GOTG 3 and Deadpool And Wolverine, and maybe also Loki), there's no denying that without Stan Lee there would be no Marvel

Happy 85th, Marvel (also yeah imma pass on Captain America 3 cuz 🇵🇸)

  8. Happy 85th birthday Marvel! RIP Stan Lee, Steve Ditko & Jack Kirby. Now can Disney please stop disrespecting the source material and changing so many things…make something original if you want to convey a message.
