CARMILLA Trailer (2020) Vampire Horror

PLOT:
Isolated from the outside world, fifteen-year-old Lara (Hannah Rae, “Broadchurch”, Fighting with My Family) lives in seclusion on a vast country estate with her father and strict governess Miss Fontaine (Jessica Raine, “Patrick Melrose”, “Jericho”). Late one evening, a mysterious carriage crash brings a young girl (Devrim Lingnau) into their home to recuperate. Lara immediately becomes enchanted by this strange visitor who arouses her curiosity and awakens her burgeoning desires.

  2. I like what I see so far from just watching the theatrical trailer. I was wondering if it was available to watch here on YouTube yet or is it available on DVD? This is one of my many, favorite subjects…Vampires. I have an affinity for them, I have watched other versions adapted into film of the oldest vampire story even before Bram Stoker wrote Dracula.

  3. Let me tell you right now do not waste your.time.The movie started off slow and boring and ended slow and boring, The one that was done in the 1970s blows this one right out of the water. This one just stinks.looks like something slap together

  7. Carmilla had its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on 28 June 2019. The film was originally set to be released in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2020 by Republic Film Distribution, but has been postponed indefinitely due to the plague/pandemic. In May 2020, Film Movement acquired US distribution rights to the film.

    Altitude Film Sales negotiated Carmilla rights on behalf of the filmmakers.

    After their debut through Film Movement’s virtual cinema initiative, the vampire drama will release on home entertainment and digital platforms.

    “We’re excited to acquire this unique story from a very talented women director,” said Film Movement president Michael Rosenberg. “It fits well into our library, already filled with films from some of the most accomplished women directors working today.”
