So its like silent hill 2 (game) but with vr set. Dude trying uncover his past meet creatures of things represented of his past,figure out what happen to his wife, and you get the point. I'm going to have to pass on this one as it has no room to leave to the imagination. Its just sack of what ifs with played out senerios.
Now what I would of done in this movie, have his mind ( by drugs,movie logic,or dreams) blur out those he dont know, while make him see the people he do know. These people whom has no face treats him nice but never around as much. Those whom he sees thinks he's crazy or going through it. In turn involks viewers to interpret any way they like and this will definitely settle in anxeity,make you feel alone,scared,and get you thinking.
