  1. this thread is a perfect example why the horror genre is what it is, yall have made up your minds before seeing anything or giving anything a chance, what boring gatekeepers you all are,the phrase "itll never be the original" is whats buried horror from being a frontrunner and getting massive budgets to get new writers, and better everything, its amazing youre clinging to a film from 1968 like that lol thats 56 years of being a one dimensional closed box😂

  2. And… of course another let down… the original is a classic for a reason, some things are better left untouched
sidenote have you not noticed the decline in movie quality over the years??? same with music which is fucking sad

  3. Is this even a prequel or just a rehashing of Rosemarys Baby with added Black Swan and The Nun mixed in? Watching the trailer was utter cringe in this no-need-for-a-prequel movie. It seems like all these horror films like The Conjuring, Insidious, Haunting In Connecticut, Annabelle and about all the others constantly rely on the same nonsensical possession themes, jumps scares and the trope of the revelatory priest and nun characters that have divine interventions to relay to the main character that they’re doomed or in danger. It’s cheap and lazy writing. The writers should have read and studied the book and watch the original film to understand how Roman Polanski made such a haunting film in the first place. It wasn’t a horror film but a psychological thriller that didn’t show too much but relied on emotional trauma.

  4. These corny “horror” movies with the worst storylines filled with dramatic music. The trailers tell it all. A Quiet Place waste of time. Trapped waste.

  5. The only thing in this entire trailer that caught my attention was the final shot of whatever the heck that thing was coming out to confront her. Everything else in the trailer had me questioning the appeal and existence of this whole thing. Rosemary's Baby is a classic horror movie and one of the greats that never really set itself up for follow ups. The 2014 two-part series remake starring Zoe Saldana was surprisingly pretty solid, but even that one didn't feel like a necessary project to make as it barely did anything to really push the IP forward. Apartment 7A is following the ongoing trend that kickstarted in the 2010s and continues today of questionable prequels to classic horror titles. It just might be surprisingly decent, but honestly nothing in this trailer looked promising enough to warrant excitement.

  6. Looks way too heavy-handed to me. Rosemary's baby was a subtle, creepy, slow burn. This is way too in your face. I don't think it'll be any good. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think I am. 🤷‍♂️

  7. Why did Hollywood think it was a good idea to make a movie about Terry that Rosemary met in the laundry room in the original movie?
They already made a Rosemary series, which I haven't seen because the original is so masterful.
Why not make a Rosemary sequel that has Andre all grown up wrecking hell upon the world as antichrist? That would have probably been better. Though given these days, they probably would have screwed it up.
In the original Terry told Rosemary that she sits home all day and watches TV, which is why she said she's probably seen Guy in Yamaha commercials. But now they are trying to make it where she was an aspiring Broadway lead? Do they not have access to the old script? Terry was a hopeless drug addict when the Castavets met her on the street and took her in to their apartment, not give her 7A which Rosemary and Guy rented….

  8. This could maybe be as good as the first omen which surprised me but why not just get Carol Kane instead of Diane weist doing Carol Kane? Diane weist is great but come on Carol Kane would be too good
