The hottest comic in America, Sebastian Maniscalco joins forces with legendary Italian-American and two-time Oscar® winner, Robert De Niro (Best Actor, Raging Bull, 1980), in the new comedy ABOUT MY FATHER. The film centers around Sebastian (Maniscalco) who is encouraged by his fiancée (Leslie Bibb) to bring his immigrant, hairdresser father, Salvo (De Niro), to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche). The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover that the great thing about family is everything about family.
ABOUT MY FATHER is directed by Laura Terruso and written by Austen Earl & Sebastian Maniscalco.

Lionsgate presents, a Depth of Field production.

  1. what a bad movie… Didn't crack one laugh in first 20min… then turned it off… if this is what movies are going to be from now on… they are done… as a business 😂

  2. WOW!! My husband and I just watched this tonight. We're both Italian Americans. We loved this movie and the story and cast were great, especially Sebastian Maniscalco and Robert DeNiro! We laughed, I got teary eyed and the acting was award winning! Cast as father and son they were perfect. Thank you for writing such a great screenplay Sebastian! More! More!

  3. This movie pisses me off!! They have a good plot and could have done so much with it but they just resorted to cheepos and half jokes. Man Oh Man this movie could have been the like of Meet the fockers .. Still .. a good watch .. such a loss though ..

  4. I used to love DiNero's acting, but he's way past his prime now. He's become a very bitter man about life and it shows on screen. His role in The Irishman was terrible. Pesci deserved an Oscar. DiNero, stale, like 2 day old bread.

  5. Yes, the actors are very talented, the production is excellent, the screenplay isn't very original but still enjoyable. However, there's a feeling of chewing on gum that's been chewed a thousand times. In the last 50 years, the United States has entertained us with unforgettable and brilliant comedies, creating characters that have captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Originality, talent, and mastery. How is it possible that all of this has suddenly come to an end today? I offer 500 Euros to anyone who can provide me with an enlightening answer.
