Whilst walking her usual morning route along the River Wyre in the Lancashire village of St. Michael’s on Wyre, in January 2023, Nicola Bulley went missing without a trace. What followed that day consumed the attention of the nation and culminated in an unprecedented international media storm, the results of which has raised important questions about the handling of the case by police and the media.

With exclusive access to Nicola’s family and contributions from those who were closely involved in the case, including journalists and Lancashire Police, the film will chart the tragic events as they unfolded. Exploring the media coverage that ensued and the amateur internet sleuths that conducted their own investigations, the film examines their effects on the official police investigation and Nicola’s family.

  1. Disgusting 🤢 hide yiur bloody heads in shame Rogan, morally bankrupt and soon to be financially. You ought to be banned from making anything in future, utter disgrace.

  2. So the BBC makes a documentary showing the damage and stress caused to this family by social media ghouls, then posts the trailer on social media encouraging more hypotheses?
    Disgraceful irresponsible behaviour.
    Take it down

  3. I didnt understand the point of the documetary. It was just to talk about social media. They have had closure and accepted the cause of death so why did they feel the need to stir it all up again?

  4. Media always pays to have a documentary come out this is unfair to the parents to the person who has passed on its sickening to be honest I’ve had enough and I reckon they might do that with Jay Slater

  5. I thought the documentary was good and cleared a few things up but the final conclusion of accidental does not feel right with me. If she fell in she would have had her phone on her for a start.

  6. Well done to husband , family and friends for being so strong and eventually putting the facts across and truth ..What a world that exists , the press and internet low lifes wanted a more corrupt or criminal ending…..shame on you

  7. The dog's ball was never found, I think the dog dropped his ball and it rolled towards the river, Nichola put her phone down and leapt up to grab it before it fell in the river, unfortunately slipping or tripping and falling in, a tragic accident, she would never have just abandoned her beloved dog by the river, or left her dear daughters and family.
