Based on Mason Deaver’s novel, the film follows Ben DeBacker, a non-binary teen who is thrown out of their house and forced to move in with their estranged older sister, Hannah, and her husband, Thomas. Struggling with anxiety, they come out only to Hannah, Thomas, and their art teacher, Ms. Lyons, while trying to keep a low profile at their new school. Ben’s attempts to survive junior year unnoticed are thwarted when Nathan, a funny and charismatic student, decides to take Ben under his wing. With the help of Nathan, and his friends Sophie and Mel, Ben discovers themselves and what started as a disastrous turn of events looks like it might just be a chance to start a happier new life.

  1. This is so funny cause I just now started reading the book and I looked the tittle up on google to see some Reddit reviews on it and now there’s a movie made

  2. What the hell is wrong with the promotion of this movie? Why does it say online it premiered in march??? Why isn't there even a trailer for the movie? I assume it was critics viewing but when the hell is it supposed to come out for everyone? And again, why isnt there EVEN a trailer??????

  3. those tears.. they look so real
there's a peaceful sadness to this scene, there's pain but the music somehow makes you not break down but just be with the pain.. this kind of a vibe is sometimes exactly what i want when i'm feeling sad or pain, it's so serene somehow like just being with your pain, and not getting overwhelmed by it..sometimes this is what you want to feel
Would love to watch the movie and maybe also read the book someday
