I was seriously looking forward to these titles, especially Uncanny. I'm a longtime X-Men fan. Gambit and Jubilee are among my favorite X character, and I think Gail Simone really shines on team books (think Birds of Prey). But this QR code thing has made me decide that I'm not picking up this title or any of the other From the Ashes titles. I refuse to pay that much for a comic and not get all the pages.
So, congrats to whoever approved that QR code idea, you just lost a customer of more than 30 years.
I’ve been collecting X-men comics since the 80s and I have to say a lot of these character designs look terrible. I read the first X-men book with Cyclops’ yellow suit and that’s by far the worst looking suit for him ever. The teams are lame. Uncanny, probably has the best roster but, I might be holding off on purchasing this era. I was hoping we’d get a resurgence of the big 5 team of Cyclops, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus & Storm but Marvel is Hellbent on mixing in newer characters that are not very good like Kid Omega and whatever his ex-girlfriends name is in with legacy characters. Idk what direction they’re going in but the new teams straight up Suck.
I say put the chore team in Uncanny and give all secondary characters their own books on separate teams. Too much saturation.

Krakoa (in particular Hickmans start) had so much promise to make meaningful change while staying close enough to status quo to make it doable. This just seems like a back to basics which is so frustrating.
I know that as others have said this is to introduce them to MCU only fans so they can just pick up a comic and be caught up for the films and its also just what Marvel does, no real change can last or it troubles their growing readership by forcing them to read previous issues when they want them to read present and forward to be accessible but its still frustrating.
Also for my fellow Marvels Multiverse RPG fans it effin sucks because in game its Krakoan age x men and now im wondering if they held off publication in prep of this announcement to release vanilla xmen instead of continue the Krakoa content. But either way it effa them because if they do continue krakoa for the game it makes it out of date.
