Love this documentary ❤
Happened today 40 years ago on January 28, 1985!
Who invited Bob Dylan? That gargler didn't belong here.
Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper and Diana Ross were amazing
I saw the greatest night in pop Netflix documentary with my sister and my mom
Could not happen without the rule that no reps were allowed with artists–no way those egos work with their yes men around., Incredible foresight by Ritchie or Jones. And they could only do it over night after the Grammys when everyone was in LA!
Fantastic!
Madonna wasn’t invited because she can’t sing.
My Mom passed away the Day 🎼We are The World 🎼was released, it was a Beautiful moment for me that I will never forget ✨💞💖
More like the “greatest farce in pop”!
I read that they catered in fifty thousand dollars of gourmet food for the recording session!
Who else but tone deaf millionaire musical celebrities would feast like that while recording a song to aid people dying of starvation?
The entire affair just drips with the worst kind of irony!!!
They raised millions that weren’t distributed properly, with no transparency as to how the funds were used, and only succeeded in making themselves look good while doing nothing to ensure long term aid or a solution to the hunger problem in Africa.
Show me one artist there that checked their egos at the door!
No casual jeans and sneakers, every one made up to the hilt and/or in their on stage personas.
It wasn’t even a good song, and the lyrics made no sense!!!
“Theres a choice we’re making, we’re saving our own lives”?
Don’t think a single person there was endangered by a lack of food in Africa!!
Wow! How awesome.
Never realised what a p#$$¥ Bob Dylan is though.

What a group of great artists…XX century s pop/rock singers will be remembered and studied as well as we remember and study italian artists from Rinascimento today..I m sure
Caracaaa, que saudade do Michael Jackson 😢.
"check your ego at the door"
this was dope
Prince beat MJ in a MUSIC category ???? What universe is this??
I was in elementary school when this came out. I remember this song vividly and was blown away at how many singers were on here. Still am today with so many egos. I did not know the backstory so it was cool to hear how it was all put together. It definitely brought tears to my eyes. Lionel Ritchie nailed the ending of this with his comments.
Quincy jones 🖤🕊️
I just watched this and grew up in the 80's, but I gotta tell ya, there was something dark about this. They were using wordly like otherworldly, possesed, powerful spiritual energy, started writing itself, etc. Not to mention the egos and the fake hollywood comrade. I mean, a big snake randomly shows up where Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson are writing the song. Plus the line "God turns stone to bread", that was never in the bible. Satan tried to tempted Jesus into turning stone to bread. I think the darkness of hollywood and the music industry is a lot deeper than we ever thought.

The first 45 I ever bought. I was 6. A song for all ages. And it was wonderful to see so many artists from all walks of life come together for a great cause.

Missing Freddie mercury!

Still salty Prince couldn't be bothered to attend.
Would of been so much better if they let Dylan and Springsteen write it really to get a meaningful song. Not "we are the world" and basically copied the English version but really shouldn't of had Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie writing it or even Quincy Jones producing it especially as we know what characters they are now today. Phil Spector producing would of been amazing
