Me, watching this (in 2025) and going "Oh, that's the KGB girl and Reichsmarshall Smith". π THEN, it says "April 20th". Dolfy's birthday! πππ
This show is hands down AMAZING!! Love it
Waiting for season 3 π
Hmm… Keri Russell looks like she has a permanent scowl and when she gets upset, the veins on her face look like they're going to pop anytime and she'd have an aneurysm. If there was an alternate-universe female Batman, she'd be perfect for the role.
Allison Janney in Season 2
What more could you want?
Is this series better than the night agent..?
Why does Kerry Russell look so rough in this show?
The problem is DEI!!!!
I prefer Stuart with Kateπ
Please help me with the name of other movies, exactly like THE DIPLOMAT, a Us political films shooting in UK
I am just on episode 3 and the main character woman is portrayed as unstable hysteric hitting her husband like crazy. For once we have a movie with a clever, amazing woman and than they make her crazy! I was so disapointed…. such a great strong clever character.
Trailer doesn't do it justice.
Just finished Season 1, and the acting and writing are brilliant. Not sure I fully understand why Kate needs to be an unhinged asshole to be effective, in particular how she treats Hal. I find it not believable that someone who is that emotionally unstable would be in such a lofty position and be so highly regarded.
Life imitates art? Art imitates life? This series feautures a not seen female VP being set up to take the reins from the old man in the Oval Office.
Great acting and writing, although it is puzzling how Kate is the one selected to be an Ambassador, when she possesses none of the qualities required, like tact and kindness. Hal is a way better Ambassador type. She treats everyone like crap. A very unhappy person.
So she cheat on her husband with a jig? Pass
Diverse cast, strong females, black men have the moral high ground, white men are idiots, non-binary character
Too many SERIES. Shows, mini series. Not enough quality movies these days.
Nicely done! I'm impressed with the subliminal descriptions of party officiating. It's a nice change of scenery looking into our foreign service corp.
Oh look another ridiculous female lead show. Wonderful
I truly enjoy this show. I was disappointed season 2 was only 6 episodes.
It's TERRIBLE. I started watching. They discussed a very urgent situation, and then a character says: "How's your dad?". They discuss another urgent situation, and then the main character says: "My hands hurt!". And it goes on and on and on like that. It's like they tried to pull an Aaron Sorkin, but ended up with an "Aaron Stroke-in'". TERRIBLE!
I really enjoy The Diplomat. Who is responsible for hair styles on the show?
It's like watching house of cards directed by woody allen π
Wth, how did she end up in the UK from Russia? Is she secretly visiting Paige? πΆ
Sorry, it just reminds me of someone, who needs me. I just can't explain who we all are without her coming home to me.
Heaven is the fortress we share in each other and the mystery of true love which exist because I came here to craft a new generation of scientists and she came here to craft a new generation of diplomacy. From the perspectives we all find along the way with one another, may we forever find a way to remember our people, the life inside of all things which comes to us through this world, and recognize the freedom all beings have to receive their melody as their essence in being true to reality and all things harmonious to all it may offer anyone… We all live because we live for everything we must choose to live for and we get to do that as ourselves.
I think of the person I love and the political debate which currently exists in our relationship about equality and freedom of choice in academia. If she hears me, HJo… I'll marry you in any and every sense, because no matter who I want to be, I will always need you V.I.N. c and everyone we've met along the way. I know things everywhere are just fine. We all have this beautifully perfect connection with each other across every possible dimension of life being any less than we should hope for… I believe that for every soul lost they are, one day, given the opportunity to have their wishes granted and expectations fulfilled as some miracle of metamorphosis.
I think the stories we all share, the way we feel, think, and act about one another as well as are even capable of choosing existence is that life has always known. Eventually we will find a way that the soul of every life is imparted between us, and every soul renewed with their true desires long after any death…If the gods created us, they are a part of all denominations and stories everywhere and much like elders, professionals, and all good people/companions everywhere, they do want to hand us the shortcuts to understanding the meaning of life… They probably get as emotional behind closed doors as we do, but maybe the way we all do so differently is what makes us beautifully endless in our potential because it is about everything we remember and how we realize the changes occurring, like the feeling that everything is peacefully despite the frustrated movements we make to help, falling in place as we never could completely imagine in any other moment than each and every. We're only here because we're all shooting for the perfect future together, and we only lasted this long as more than nothing because somehow, we found it… There wouldn't be anything to live for otherwise. Nothing which could be made better and no capacity to feel like we chose this life because of the future which has been imparted to us from the histories we're imparted to us all in our own journeys… There's definitely a way that everyone fits together. I'm trying to keep and open mind, but I do enjoy it whether I make you feel frustrated or intrigued in the moment I'm showing off… I know ya love me… I love you more π
I was really looking forward to watching this show, but I'm in the third episode and it is sooo boring! The acting and writing are both good, but nothing is happening. I'm a big fan of shows like West Wing and The Americans, and movies like 13 Days and All the Presidents Men. I'm gonna give The Diplomats one more episode before I stop watching.
Having watched both Series I wonder how Lammyβs going to manage the incoming US government? π
This is a great show. Great plot and acting. My wife and I have to control our binge watching so we can enjoy it for longer!
The very nearly perfect, Allison Janney, moves up from CoS to Veep…'Season 2…'
Deserted Island……
I can pick one human for company..
Hmmmm .. Keri ππ»π«Άπ«Άππ»
Can't wait for season 3. This show is like water in the desert for people who like intelligent TV.
I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this is a comedy. They bill it as a "thriller" but when you have Michael McKean as the idiot President wandering around the woods in circles, you gotta laugh. I think it's hilarious, but maybe it's the lack of a laugh-track throws people off?
In a world where so many terrible TV shows and movies are being made that are just fodder for the masses, it is fantastic to have someone like Keri Russell and crew of writers and actors and production staff come along and make a series that is outstanding in the writing and acting and is such a treat to watch. The chemistry between Keri and Rufus and actually everyone on the show is so REAL that I hope this show goes on for many more seasons to come. Thank you to all the cast and crew for a wonderful job. Netflix, keep producing quality shows like this.
interfering and using back channels to control the narrative and influence the powers to be acting in a way that presumably suits them and their agenda while endangering lives of men and women in service and lives of people who swear to serve the country and calling it collateral damage yes that sounds the work of diplomat who presumes is fit for office of power aka service and somehow self endows themselves into a delusional role ..while time and time again drinking the hypocrisy koolaid… yes that sounds like defender of the great notion of democracy … there is a reason why diplomacy and delusion begin with a d
Such a good show
DEI infused garbage!
Jaishankar pe banao
If the machinations and procedures of government people is even slightly like this written series, God help us all.
Load of Rubbish
I can't seem to stop watching this show. It's incredibly re-watchable.
