2007 Anne is painfully awkward (introverted peraonality doesnt have to be) and this Anne is the total opposite. Where is the balanced more accurate portrayal?

Jane Austen, her celebrated legacy of writing had nothing to do with this and it bears no relation to any of her famous novels! Apart from ripping of the title of one of them.
What a difference it makes when an actor is interested in the material to when they’re not…
That’s why Dakota Johnson’s acting here looks much better than her acting in Madame Web.

Not a die hard Jane Austen fan but have watched the last two previous adaptations to understand that this is going to be a hot mess. Going to watch the other two adaptations instead. Sally Hawkins is still my favorite Anne.

Why is Netflix insisting PC stuff? Don't do an adaptation of Jane Austen where a Baronet's daughter is married to a man of colour. Lady Russell is also wrongly cast, for equally obvious reasons. The William Elliott actor is a good actor and I'd love to see him in something else – but not in a Regency story. This should not be about Wokeness. This should be about Jane Austen.

It’s one thing to disagree on the adaptation of the novel being accurate in a dignified manner and another to brutally attack with vile words. I read the book. It is different, but I am open minded enough to consider a version that is different from the novel.
I think Dakota played a great role in this movie.
They are not going to portray the characters same as the book. Its different, its refreshing, its hopeful. Its a good movie.
I've seen this trailer once before.
It's so horrible that I couldn't put myself through seeing a second time. This adaptation of the novel is ghastly.
