  1. I am sorry but her not backing up her novel in this day and age makes her look stupid. I hate the older woman does not know technology trope.🙄😮‍💨😑

  2. I clicked for Laura Dern, expecting to see some good acting, despite the unpromising introduction on Netflix, and all I got was dull characters, cringy convos, idiotic storyline… So boring that the affair-glorifying wasn’t even the biggest problem here… Should have trusted my instinct 😒

  3. I liked the movie. Im glad i did not focus on their age difference….just two people who fell in love. He and his girlfriend were not a good match and the trip was the right catalyst to push this to the forefront. If you watched the whole movie and all you can comment on is "cheating", that's on you and your vision of perfection and idealistic vision of human emotions and actions. For those who lack clarity, the girlfriend slept with one of the other authors…which officially ended the dead relationship.

  4. Ok, I don‘t have a problem with the age difference. Is ok that people different ages love themselves. I habe 2 other problems about this movie:
    1. the older actress is so mother-style, she fits so perfectly to be his mother: wise, always understanding, supporting and advising him. And he fits so perfectly in her son‘s role: vulnerable, needing support
    2. she looks a little bit like a witch. I was obsessed with the image of her wearing a black hat and flying around. All her features made me see her like a witch: small lips, small long nose, proeminant kinn, the hair, the posture. Both of them making love made me sick.

  5. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is 100% of the time when a man starts acting up and making you seem like the problem, he’s cheating!!

That older lady is soo mean, instead of her to be advising the young couple she was busy looking for ways to eat her own share of the forbidden fruit.

The movie should be titled: Sad reality of modern times

  6. I like this movie quite a bit. It's not my usual type of movie cuz I like stuff with a lot of action or horror. But it kept me interested from the beginning to the end. I thought it was a really good movie. Thumbs up 7 /10
