  1. Caine is so amazing because he’s essentially a John Woo character plopped into John Wick. John Wick aesthetics is all about explicitly cool things and cool characters, but Caine is as low key as it gets. Athletic yes, but kinda dumpy, kinda frumpy, and he’s rather be anywhere else

  2. Ah!! There it is …. Even Chad Stahelski said it!!! “Caine” is just like or a “little” like ZATOICHI!!! I Love it… sensed that right away when I seen JW4 the first time…🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

  3. I really love how they managed to make his character pretty much do both Chad's vision and Donnie's at once. Not only was Caine the baddest thing in a Wick film since the titular character himself, but he also really made the blind thing work. He needs sound cues. He needs to check his environment occasionally with the cane. But he's still extremely lethal and able to the point where you'd barely even know he was blind.
This is why John Wick films are masterpieces. Actor and Director listening to one another.

  4. One of my favorite things about Caine is that, with few exceptions, he fights exactly like how you would expect a blind man to fight. He fires his gun at point-blank range, or in bursts to guarantee a hit. He constantly flourishes and waves his cane/sword in order to probe for nearby targets. And his wing chun techniques are used appropriately for a blind man; only engaging in hand-to-hand combat with a target who he's already touching.

  5. One thing that sets him apart isn't that his build is atypical, but they also built up a solid backstory as well. He got his happy life. He quit the business and was already at the top. When they pull him back in, it's under duress. He's conflicted about his role so he does what he can to give his opponents an out. A lot of his fighting is exemplified not in how he goes for the kill shot, but how he tries to stop short of it. He cuts loose once he has no sympathy, but when he is first introduced, you can see every adjustment he makes to ease the passage to unconsciousness.

This also shows the difference between the character of Wick and Caine. Wick doesn't pull punches because he can't afford to take any chances. Caine is handicapped and holding back and he still holds his own which shows just how good he is.

  6. What makes Caine interesting is that he is a skilled blind assassin but he still fumbles and stumbles like a blind man but still ingenious and improvises. He comes off as your typical badass blind man but still also not. He is complex and also conflicted. He's a fleshed out character that matches the aura of John Wick. And I'm glad that Donnie and Chad were able to make probably the best character outside John Wick in this franchise.

  7. Caine was one of the best characters in the franchise, period .
He could have easily done the "old blind warrior with a sense of zen", but him playing it like he's tired of this shit and still does stumble a little with a sense of direction and combat was what made it amazing.

  8. Another Brand Action Franchise that LIONSGATE could consider developing is Manga Based GOLGO (13) and it’s Different, Unique From most other Action Martial Arts Movie 🎥 movie 🍿💥🔥 ⚔️ 🇯🇵
