Starring: Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler
Director: Dean DeBlois
Synopsis: From three-time Oscar® nominee and Golden Globe winner Dean DeBlois, the creative visionary behind DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, comes a stunning live-action reimagining of the film that launched the beloved franchise.
On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black Phone, For All Mankind) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.

With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (BAFTA nominee Nico Parker; Dumbo, The Last of Us) and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost; Snow White and the Huntsman, Shaun of the Dead) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding.
As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup’s friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader.

  1. Can't even imagine how much fun this will be to watch on the giant theatre screen! This movie is definitely creating a lot of interest and excitement. Gerard Butler provides the best entertainment!❤❤❤

  2. It's as simple as this: Know your audience
Are you making this movie for yourself, for the fans, or for DEI? Look at Sonic and how well it is doing because they respect their fan base. Fans care about the source material over the contrived motives or reality. Sonic is a fantasy character, let that sink in.

  3. This looks AMAZING! The original is one of my favorites movies, and going solely based off this trailer, I'm not afraid they're going to absolutely destroy it with a live action version.

Do I think a live action was necessary? No. But I don't hate the idea of this one.

  4. Who understands them? They make a live-action movie of a famous animated film, and they complain because it's not the same. Now they make one that is identical, and they complain because it doesn't take risks. So? They just like to complain and complain. Such bitter people.

  5. I'm really excited to see the remake version of this movie. I'm pretty sure that there are still some changes that make the difference to the original movie. Even the trailer shows some few even clearly.

  6. I, always worry when it’s a live action it’s often changed and is nothing like the original but they have kept everything the same. Dreamworks how to train your dragon has always been something I’ve loved growing up. ❤ so excited for it. 😊😊

  7. As someone that LOVES the animated movie I’m just going to say that this is the most pointless movie ever made. Why can’t they remake movies that weren’t good into something better? Why take the most beloved movies ever made and remake them into something bland and uninteresting?
