I’m so mad this was a limited series it was so good I’m watching it right now for like the 8th time this show carried me through a shitty time in covid during high school, but this is one of my favorite and the best tv series I’ve ever seen, and I normally never am a fan of the gay love story type shit in fact I dislike it but this was made so so good that nun of that mattered everything about it was perfect I wish so much it was a multi season series

I watched the series on Netflix and liked the acting and characters, however near the end I started to have reservations as the present was so blatantly being superimposed on the past in a crude and politically ideological way. The past is a different country and should be respected for what it is.

" appena finita l ultima puntata di stagione di _hollywood , netflix è passata a propormi better call saul quasi a chiedermi scusa, quasi a volersi giustificare che sulla sua stessa piattaforma ci fossero la prima e la seconda assieme, quasi a volermi dire che bisogna accontentare un po' tutti, che siamo tutti diversi, che quello che può piacere a uno poi non è detto che piaccia pure a chi non capisce niente di cose sacre e inviolabili e da guardare con devozione .
hollywood credo che accontenti l utente in serie ambasce emotive, sai, di quelli che hanno tanto bisogno di non stare là a prestare attenzione , di quelli che al momento vogliono solo essere intrattenuti con una favola della serena notte da cui trarre una morale buona per farci dei post al gusto di libertario di regime su fb.

l ho finita tutta in breve tempo (è una miniserie , e poi non è che ci sia niente per cui fare il rewind per capirlo meglio) e solo per seguire la storia di rock hudson , un attore che piaceva molto a mio padre ,che però ci rimase molto male quando seppe che il suo eroe di il gigante fosse gay, non tanto per il gay ma perchè la notizia lo aveva messo davanti al fatto che a volte i gay non sono come uno se li aspetta e che quindi chiunque può esserlo senza darlo a vedere, la qualcosa è molto destabilizzante.

I wish they had done an AHS anthology style series for this. Where each season was a different decade/era from Hollywood. Like the James dean era, or the 80’s brat pack era. The 80’s especially with the aids epidemic, the River Phoenix story etc.
