  1. I found the movie just ok. It had it's moments, but I'm not a fan of using too much montage. It looks way too gimmicky when the focus should be on story and characters. Look at Walk the Line, La Bamba, Great Balls of Fire, Buddy Holly Story, etc. That's how biopics should be done. It's a wasted opportunity because Butler is excellent as Elvis and Tom Hanks is utterly outstanding as the Colonel.

  2. The first 5 mins of the movie Elvis I could not stop laughing.

1.parker never gave the world Elvis

2.Marion Keisker did and in the words of Elvis himself "without this woman there would be no Elvis"

3.LMAO Austin looks like a cheap Elvis impersonator

  3. The trailers don't do the "Elvis" movie justice. Austin Butler is mesmerizing depicting Elvis. What a superb acting performance. I thought Tom Hanks did a decent job playing Parker. The last part of the movie dragged a bit, but I loved the movie over all.

  4. Austin Butler was so freaking magnificent as Elvis. He played him perfectly that I will go see this a second time I love Elvis Presley more than I did before. Thank you Austin for doing a phenomenal job. I know Elvis is proud 😊

  5. I feel like the amount of approval clips from the Presley family, the Baz Luhrmann “I did a great job” interviews combined with the overly positive media information serves as a set up to control potential negative criticisms. Tom Hanks, for one, should never portray Colonel Tom Parker in another Elvis movie ever again. He sucks in the trailer. A 2+ hour movie isn’t gonna make it a better performance. I’ll continue loving Elvis without having to co-sign this piece of crap.

  7. Funny thing, Elvis never liked being referred to as a God or being called “The King” He said there is only one King, Jesus Christ. He was extremely spiritual… I hope this film reflects on that a little bit.

  8. Hollywood needs to make this happen immediately. He would be perfect playing him. I would love to see a remake of East Of Eden or Rebel Without A Cause or even Giant for that matter. I think he would be unbelievable in any of those roles. Even though he is 30 and Dean was 23-24 when he made his films, Austin still looks much younger than he is. He could pass for early 20s still. As a lifelong James Dean fan and seeing many actors over the year try to emulate or be him and still come up short no matter how good they are, I never thought I would say this but I think we found the next James Dean and his name is Austin Butler

  9. for all people who want to see this be warned it seems like baz luhrman thinks we want elvis classics mixed with regular 2000s songs likes britney spears im excited for the movie though
