8. Nice to see a story about Rhodesia. I’ve read her book. It’s such a lovely coming of age story. I hope this film can go into her teen years as well. I wonder if we will hear her sing “here’s the story of Rhodesia, a land both fair and great” like she mentions in the book she sang as a girl. I can see the film touches in politics. I hope it is fair, yes fair, especially seeing how 45 years after many of the warnings concerning “turning the country over to terrorists” came true.

   But that’s what art the art of story telling is for, to hold up a mirror, to question things, to examine things, and to hear another perspective. One man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter.

   I look forward to this!

   Ps. Another good book in this wheelhouse is Douglas Rogers’ The Last Resort.

18. no doubt another white guilt movie. not remotely unbiased etc.. I want this to be good, I truly do, the history of Rhodesia is super interesting, but we all know which way it'll go.
