5. Bad decisions ruined the chance of this being a good sequel. I loved the first, but hear me out why this one won't work. In Den of Thieves, you had Gerard and Pablo Schreiber, a powerhouse combo of characters, and the actors playing them. "Donnie", of course, was a forgettable, weak character, which is why it all worked so well. Now in the sequel, we're trying to follow him as the main character, force-believe that he's a combination of Danny Ocean and Ethan Hunt. C'mon. Both the character and actor are too bland and lightweight for the audience to invest in for this to work as a story.
