Watch the BBC first on iPlayer 👉 https://bbc.in/iPlayer-Home Charlie Brooker looks on, as PM Boris Johnson prepares the Great British public for a national emergency by hand-washing and shaking hands, joined by a cast of scientists and officials in a series of daily government briefing gameshows.

In this one-off special, Charlie Brooker returns to our screens for the first time since his Bafta-winning 2016 Wipe to take a look at life under lockdown.

As well as coverage of the crisis itself, Charlie also explores what the public have been watching to while away the hours.

Guest contributors joining him, from a safe distance, include the ever-insightful Philomena Cunk and Barry Shitpeas. If nothing else, it will give you something to do for half an hour.

  1. I miss those podium press conferences.
Sad testicle on the left, happy testicle on the right, and a massive dick in the middle.

  2. I can understand Charlie not wanting wipe to be the only thing he's known for but he is such a good social satirist his round up of the year was compulsory viewing and it's only one show a year, come on Charles do what you're best at at least once a year.

  3. It’s so hilarious yet somewhat worrying that this show kind of writes itself. He’s literally just stating the news but it’s so absurd that it sounds like a comedian wrote it

  4. We have the resources, fantastic testing….soo much for the test and trace and yet as of 26th of March 2021, 126,000+ people are dead in the UK.
