“Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva,” is the opening chapter in India’s first original cinematic universe, the Āstraverse, arriving exclusively in theaters Sept. 9.

Inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from India’s ancient history yet set in the modern world, “Brahmāstra: Part One— Shiva” is an epic story of fantasy, adventure, love and hope, told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacle. The grand adventure features a stellar ensemble cast of some of India’s most beloved actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Set in modern-day India, the narrative is woven around the existence of Astras of power that have been protected by a group called the Brahmānsh since Ancient Vedic times. The most powerful of these Astras, named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, is the Brahmāstra. A mysterious dark force is trying to wake the Brahmāstra, threatening the universe we know today. The new film sees hero Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) journey into this magical world of Astras where he learns of his mysterious connection to the Brahmānsh and the Brahmāstra. Shiva discovers the truth both about his own destiny as a divine hero and about the great power that dwells within him, the power of Fire.

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, “Brahmāstra: Part One—Shiva” will release theatrically on Sept. 9, 2022, in Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

  4. People say that the box office did not reach its budget, making it a flop. What they don’t realize, though, is that they literally hired the guys behind DUNE and TENET for this film. 200 crore is a massive achievement, atleast in comparison to movies like 2.0

  5. Everything thing is perfect, but you should take a look on Hollywood fighting styles. I didn't like the fighting style at all. It's slow and very scaled, make it fast . By the way, epic experience.

This is Bullshit what ever he is speaking he hasn't done even basic research in Hinduism and Indian culture this movie is a failed attempt to change Indian culture, if u really inspired by Indian traditions u Woudn't show the villan DEV (seriously u posted image of Lord shiva) u seriously trying to portrait Lord Mahadev as villain. and u talk about culture this movie is a failed attempt in Downgrading Lord shiva.

  35. Even when many of the Indian studios are into the business of graphics rendering and designing
    Why special effects are not upto the mark.
    And with the acting which we saw its ridiculous.
    They say watch our movie many of the peoples livelihood is dependent on it but why cant a single good movie cant be made. Softwares hardware and hourly cost of these developers is not that high which you guys are saying. The problem is specifically with Hindi film industry they are not able to get out from the fixed structure, the cast, the Moulding in which they have been making the movie in is same from many years. Give money making second priority give audience 1st then you guys will actually achieve something.
    Now days if you say technology and finance is problem then you cant be more wrong.

    Today saw the movie in Imax, wait for 3 days more this movie will be a devastating flop.

  41. Vfx was awesome. But only thing I complain is love story. Just short it down or remove it part 2 and part 3.and dialogue r bit cringy fix it. And its done

  42. Love to watch 2nd part. First part is Quite awesome as they tried to build up those characters but feel little streched but this movie is must watch in 3D .
