American Underdog tells the inspirational true story of Kurt Warner (Zachary Levi), who went from a stocking shelves at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback. The film centers on Warner’s unique story and years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his aspirations to become an NFL player – but just when his dreams seemed all but out of reach, it is only with the support of his wife, Brenda (Anna Paquin) and the encouragement of his family, coaches, and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion that he already is. American Underdog is an uplifting story that demonstrates that anything is possible when you have faith, family and determination.

  1. I should watch this at night so overwhelming I cried specially in the ending scene. My sister almost caught me. 😅 FYI I don't know s***! About American Football but I like to watch sports movies. Specially when it based on a true story.

  2. The "WHO IS THIS GUY" cover of Sports Illustrated for me is the greatest sport cover ever. Warner is one of the greats; living proof the American Dream is worth the pursuit

  3. I swear Americans would make a movie about anything and turn it into some kind of hero story. I couldn't stand his wife character, the constant Jesus this, God that – although understandable, given the place these people are from – the "adventures" that were pretty much blown out of proportions (getting stuck in a blizzard – because of stupidity I might add – and walking miles and miles to the gas station). Annoying movie altogether, annoying football players talking about "destiny" and such other things. There are better sports movies out there, even American football movies, which I enjoyed. This one was garbage, but the culture around this sport is garbage anyway.

  4. i am from Australia and i love watching true stories about American sport i think I have seen every one of them this movie was just added on netflix what an amazing movie it was 10/10 from me

  5. I love American Football 🏈 born over here in Northern Ireland (GO 49ERS!!!) It wasn't shown in cinemas and there is a DVD compatibility problem for this novie over here for SOME REASON!! My favourite Gridiron movie is, wait for it, LITTLE GIANTS, THERE, I'VE SAID IT😳☺️😂. I see that the actor who played Al the bartender in the last episode of the original Quantum Leap series is in it. Im a big Time Travel fan ESPECIALLY Quantum Leap. As you can see I'm a REAL mixed bag when it comes to my passions and at 51 years old I'm just a BIG kid at heart❤😂

  6. extremely bad movie trying to force the god faith do-gooder message down your throat. high-lighted by the bad acting of the dick vermil actor

  7. Solid film, solid story. Felt more like a television film than anything, but worth watching and it's a nice popcorn flick. Wish it would have gone more on his career than just one game, but it would have probably dragged on. Wish it would have made more money at the box office…

  8. I'm going to tell you what I hated about this movie, the advertisement for it. I can't believe I hadn't seen any press for it. This was such a great movie and Zachary Levi killed it. This movie was so good and it hits you. I watched Kurt's HOF speech and it shows how they tried to accurately make this movie.
