  1. Adrien Brody has been an ambitious hungry artist from the beginning. He mentions in interviews how rare it is to get a real good intense role like this. If anyone gets a chance, he did a film called Detachment, and he is completely jarring in that as well.

So happy for you Adrien, you deserve it all!

  2. Adrien Brody was absolutely phenomenal in The Brutalist and deserves all the awards he is getting. What a classy speech, thanking everyone and giving them the spotlight so graciously. 👏 I am rooting for him to get the Oscar!

  3. I'm soooooo happy for him ❤❤❤. I can't wait for him to get the oscar and he'll officially be the actor who won two oscars for playing a concentration camp refugee

  4. Predictable! Adrien Brody repeating his performance of a disheveled individual. Had it been distinct from The Pianist, I’d see the excitement for The Brutalist.

I hope the Oscars bring a big surprise, not this predictability!

  5. This was a completely political and wrong decision. He gave the same performance as he did in the Piano. Nothing exemplary about his work in The Brutalist whatsoever. The BAFTA should have gone to Ralph Fiennes, his performance in Conclave was nuanced, masterful, so strong yet fit the rhythm and needs of the film and ensemble. Highlighting how he has grown and developed his skills and craft over his 40 year career. He is easily one of the modern day greats, just a shame that he wasn’t recognised.

  6. Idk about y'all, but I always thought Adrien Brody was Serbian or something. He has a very Balkan face, especially that big asymmetric aquiline nose. Glad he didn't go under the knife, but I must say, some times I'm tempted to just wanna give it a lil twist to hear that bone crack and see if it is adjusted to place. Btw, I didn't know he was dating Harvey Weinstein's ex. I guess Marchesa is still in business. P.S. If there is ever a Hollywood movie about Salvador Dali, Adrien Brody would be the perfect person to play him.

Edit: Lmao. I completely forgot he already played Salvador Dali in Midnight in Paris.

  7. Sure, give it to him, for the same old role The Pianist 2.0, with only some +20 years… Wash it out, repeat, cleanse and repeat. Oh, and thanks AI for the accent! Good "acting", right? Same'o, same'o, nothing new under the sun… God forbid to reward an actor who put the REAL work in portraying something courageous, against all the odds, facing censorship and so on. Better to reiterate the same old story of an emigrant coming to America… Old habbits die hard. Spineless BAFTA!🎉Keep your decrepit actors.
