  1. Just watched it, what a wonderful show, I wish it was multiple seasons. just can't get enough of Emily Blunt, he character is so wholesome.

  2. A big disappointment. A lot of scenes that don't make sense (e.g. saving an unborn child then refusing to take care of the baby), weird dialogues. White people who consider Indians to be equal (in 19th century!) was the last drop.

  3. The screen chemistry between Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer is breathtaking – each time the two of them are talking self reflectively to one another it’s just completely arresting. It may be TV but it’s like the best cinema I’ve seen in 20 years. Strong female and diverse characters without it feeling like we’ve had any stupid messaging rammed down our throats – and that’s because it’s just awesome storytelling, acting and writing. I’ve watched it through three times and every time I’ve got something more from it.

  4. She’s brilliant. And she rides like a pro. No doubt she played the cello on the theme tune too …. as she plays that aswell .. makes me wonder what I do with my time 🤦‍♀️

  5. I walked in on my in-laws watching this show. Had no idea what it was or what was going on. I just saw Emily Blunt and Cirian Hinds. That was enough to get me watching. The exchange between them was enough that I sat down and binge watched pretty much the entire thing right then and there.

I cannot recommend this show strongly enough. I have read, watched, and played some extremely dark western stories in my life, but the one might be the darkest I’ve ever seen. Not just in terms of brutal displays of violence, but in the cruelty and indifference of the world itself…

And for only six episodes, if you’re a fan of dark westerns at all, you have no excuse to not watch it!

  6. Been watching up until Episode 3 now, already I don't like the writing, esp on her character. She loves to argue, in a place where a lost woman is in no position to have such privilege. Such is tolerated in the 21st Century America but not in the Wild West. She's been told not to say anything about having money but she's quick to reveal it to people she just met. Her tagging along with Eli Whipp becomes a liability, she nearly got them killed. She was shot at, she ran to the wagon, grabbed a bow and arrow instead of a gun which was sitting nearby. Then I stopped watching. This is not Western, this is another Twilight saga.
