9. So much is incorrect about this. They need to read the Bible. It doesn't say in the Bible that gay people are going to hell. To go to Heaven, you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, that he died on the cross for your sins. Period. Full stop. You don't earn your salvation by good works.

   In regards to homosexuality though, the Bible clearly states that it's a sin. It states that lots of things are sins. When we love and fear (respect) God, we should recognize that He gave his life for us. That the sin that separated us from him was enough that he had to give his life. So for Christians to be flippant about their sin.. that's the problem. Having homosexual desires is no different than a heterosexual person having the desire to sleep around, or to murder, or not forgive, etc. The point is that we are called to fight against these urges that we have. That is what God calls us to do.

And even Bible teaches that Yahweh is one of the multiple gods that was given Jacob's family as inheritence to be their tribal god (Deuteronomy 32:8-9). OT is not monotheistic at all, it is monolatristic in the sense that Israelites should worship only their national god (deity).
